Vietnam textile and garment industry expo is the largest and most influential event in Vietnam's textile and garment industry. As the only textile and garment industry expo recognized by UFI, the Expo also held the Vietnam fabric and Garment Accessories Expo. The two exhibitions aim to provide a one-stop procurement platform for buyers from Vietnam and neighboring countries. Vietnam's textile and clothing exports reached US $28.5 billion, a year-on-year increase of 5%, accounting for 16% of Vietnam's total foreign trade exports. From 2014 to 2016, the growth rate of Vietnam's textile and clothing exports decreased year by year, 20.9%, 10.9% and 5% respectively, mainly due to the stagnant export demand and the fierce competition from China, India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Vietnam's textile and garment exports are expected to grow by 6-8% in 2017.
At present, the United States is the largest market for Vietnam's textile and garment exports. In 2016, Vietnam's textile and clothing exports to the United States increased by 5%, reaching US $11.4 billion, accounting for 40.3%. It is expected to reach US $11.7 billion in 2017, with a year-on-year increase of 7%. In addition to the United States, Vietnam's major textile and clothing export markets also include the European Union (12%), Japan (10.2%) and South Korea (8%). The free trade agreement between Vietnam and the EU will enter into force in 2018. In recent years, Vietnam's textile and garment industry has continuously absorbed a large amount of investment from home and abroad, covering the whole industrial chain and meeting the new opportunities brought by the free trade agreement. Purpose of the meeting: after the completion of China ASEAN Free Trade Area, grasp the market investment and trade opportunities of Vietnam's textile and garment industry and footwear industry and the customer channels of potential buyers in Vietnam.
Intuitively promote China's corporate image and products, highlight the price comparison advantages of Chinese products in globalization, promote China's advanced textile and garment industry and shoemaking technology, and quickly enter the Vietnamese market. Directly conduct face-to-face trade negotiation with Vietnamese purchasers at the exhibition, and grasp the readily available trade orders.
